fa آگاهی دندانپزشکان شرکت کننده در چهل و هفتمین کنگره بین المللی دندانپزشکی در مورد تجویز آنتی‌بیوتیک پروفیلاکتیک جهت پیشگیری از اندوکاردیت باکتریال عمومی general تحقیقی Research <strong>زمینه و هدف:</strong> اندوکاردیت باکتریال بیماری نادری است که امروزه علی‌رغم پیشرفت در همه جنبه‌های علم پزشکی احتمال مرگ و میر و ناتوانی ناشی از آن80-10% می‌باشد. هدف از این تحقیق، بررسی آگاهی گروهی از دندانپزشکان ایرانی در مورد تجویز آنتی‌بیوتیک پروفیلاکتیک جهت پیشگیری از اندوکاردیت باکتریال می‌باشد.</p> <p dir="rtl"><strong>روش بررسی: </strong>در این مطالعه توصیفی تحلیلی، جامعه مورد نظر 205 دندانپزشک شرکت‌کننده در چهل و هفتمین کنگره بین المللی انجمن دندانپزشکان ایران در بهار سال 1386 بودند که با روش نمونه‌گیری سرشماری انتخاب شدند. پرسشنامه تهیه شده توسط محقق، بدون ذکر نام، در اختیار شرکت کنندگان در کنگره قرار گرفت. بعد از جمع‌آوری اطلاعات، داده‌ها با استفاده از آزمون t-test، مجذور کای، آزمون همبستگی اسپیرمن و برنامه SPSS 13.5 مورد تجزیه و تحلیل آماری قرار گرفتند.</p> <p dir="rtl"><strong>یافته‌‌ها:</strong> در ارتباط با نیاز به تجویز آنتی‌بیوتیک در بیماران دارای دریچه مصنوعی قلب، 6/94% از پاسخ‌ها صحیح بود. شایع‌ترین اقداماتی که از نظر پاسخگویان نیاز به تجویز آنتی‌بیوتیک داشت به ترتیب عبارت بود از جراحی لثه و جرمگیری، کشیدن دندان و قرار دادن نخ‌های زیر لثه. بیش از نیمی از پاسخ‌دهندگان (8/65%) آموکسی‌سیلین را به عنوان آنتی‌بیوتیک پروفیلاکتیک انتخاب کرده بودند. میانگین نمره آگاهی برابر 4/12±77/38% محاسبه شد.</p> <p dir="rtl"><strong>بحث و نتیجه‌گیری:</strong> نتایج حاصل از این مطالعه نشان داد که درصد آگاهی گروهی از دندانپزشکان ایرانی در رابطه با تجویز آنتی‌بیوتیک جهت پیشگیری از اندوکاردیت باکتریال نسبتا پایین می‌باشد. همچنین درصد آگاهی با گذشت زمان فارغ التحصیلی کاهش می‌یابد.</p> </span> <p style="text-align: justify"><strong>Background and Aim:</strong> Infective endocarditis is a rare disease resulted in mortality and morbidity in 10-80% of patients. The purpose of present study was to investigate the knowledge of guidelines on antibiotic prophylaxis for bacterial endocarditis in a group of Iranian dentists.<strong></strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify"><strong>Materials and Methods: </strong>This was a descriptive study in which the population under study was 205 who were participated in the 47th international congress of dentistry (Tehran-Spring 2007) and they were chosen by census sampling methods. Nameless questionnaires were designed and were given to the dentists to complete. The t-test, χ² and spearman with the SPSS 13.5 program were used in the data analysis. P<0.05 was considered as the level of significance.<strong></strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify"><strong>Results:</strong> Regarding to the prescribing of prophylactic antibiotic for patients with prosthetic cardiac valves, 94.6% of all answers were correct. Also, the most common procedures in which the prophylaxis antibiotic was distinguished to be necessary were periodontal surgery, scaling, dental extraction and using subgingival cord, respectively. More than half of the dentists (65.8%) had chosen amoxicillin as a prophylactic antibiotic. Mean knowledge score was 38.77±12.4.<strong></strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify"><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Results of the present study showed that the knowledge of dentists about prescribing antibiotics for prevention of bacterial endocarditis is relatively low.
